Old Age and Treachery vs Youth and Exuberance
We are a week away from our Inaugural Alumni Match that will feature an epic battle of old age and treachery vs youth and exuberance and to honor the original team of daring and at times cheeky, Navy SEALs and Sailors that played in the 60s and 70s. This match also marks the beginning of Coronado Rugby Club’s official status as a 501c.3 non-profit organization. Our goal for leadership development has not changed but now we can create greater opportunities for our continual learning environment to include mentoring opportunities for alumni as they emerge and begin to harness the many tools we’ve given them within our program.
The alumni match will be fun and challenging for some of us. But more importantly, it creates an intersection for older, younger and our youngest to come together to tell stories, share techniques for success and cheer on our teammates as they dare to show everyone a little bit of what they are made of. The schedule of events is below, and I would like to thank URT for sponsoring the Old Frogs Jersey and thank the UDT/SEAL Foundation for letting us use the original logo. I predict that the wise Old Frogs Team will be drinking some cold from the Coronado Alumni Cup afterwards, but the youthful exuberance of the Alumni Team may show up and send us home thirsty. Either way, it will be great, and I look forward to seeing you on the pitch.

- Sunday July 21st Alumni Match Kick Off 11 AM Cays Park (Game Pitch)
