Old Age and Treachery vs Youth and Exuberance
We are quickly approaching our annual Alumni Match that will feature an epic battle of old age and treachery vs youth and exuberance and to honor the original team of daring and at times cheeky, Navy SEALs and Sailors that played in the 60s and 70s. This match also marks Coronado Rugby Club’s official status as a 501c.3 non-profit organization and Ten years of playing rugby. Our goal for leadership development has not changed but now we can create greater opportunities for our continual learning environment to include mentoring opportunities for alumni as they emerge and begin to harness the many tools we’ve given them within our program.
The alumni match will be fun and challenging for some. But more importantly, it creates an intersection for older, younger and our youngest to come together to tell stories, share techniques for success and cheer on our teammates as they dare to show everyone a little bit of what they are made of. Either way, it will be great, and I look forward to seeing you on the pitch as the Old Frogs take back the trophy.
